LINCS OF LOVE

Summer is finally here in Illinois and we’re looking forward to BBQs, days by the pool and cool nights sitting by a fire.  So this week, I wanted to share our go to’s for a fun summer day and nights ahead.

A Great Meal

Great grilled skirt steak with Chimichurri.   This is my go to all year round, but I love it for summer BBQs with the family or entertaining.  It’s easy for a crowd, and always pleasing.  I often wing it, but I always use this recipe as my jumping off point. Pair it with roasted potatoes and a garden salad, and your set!

A family Fun Dessert

A twist on smores‘.  I love smores, it’s the highlight of summer desserts.  This is cute and a little less messy for my littles than a traditional smores.  Wrap em up, throw them on the grill, and enjoy!

A Pool Must-Have

Puddle jumpers are a life saver.  I love the freedom these give Lulu in the pool.  She’s able to go from end to end and even jump off the diving board without an adult touching her at all times.  It’s a great addition to her swim lessons.

Summer Fashion

A great summer graphic tee.  I love this Good Vibes one, I’m thinking I might need this one for an upcoming outdoor country concert, and Abe is in my cart for 4th of July at the lake.

Summer Accessories

A great beach bag.  I hate the beach, but that doesn’t mean I don’t need a summer bag for the pool, target, lunch dates, or just running errands.  I love this circle tote from Mark & Graham.  They make my favorite bags!  They are functional, well made, beautiful, and still a little under the radar, which I love.

A Great Summer Read

Lately, books take me forever with the two little’s, but that doesn’t stop me from trying.  I’m a little behind on my reading, but this summer I’m hoping to read, Where the Crawdads Sing,  The Friends We Keep, and Mrs. Everything.

What is your summer must-haves?  Tell me all about what you need to survive the summer.

XOXO
